Bogturtle's Garden- November 2026
Originally placed to be in the middle window of the bank of 7 at one end of this big room, the Japanese Stewartia or Pseudocamellia tree is looking good. For some strange reason it looks as if the top window frame is curved. I live in a World I don't understand. Little I say is new, and Pseudocamella or Sterwartia Japonica would have been recommended as an excellent tree to shade a patio. But it drops its white, poached egg looking flowers a day or so after they open. A litterbug. At present age, the bark is looking attractive, and this Fall color is really an addition. Also a plus, where it is, is that it is a very slow growing species.
